A Discourse on Body Image
While external forces can pressure both the young and old to seek plastic surgery, such influences are hardly limited to the Asian population. There are, however, additional and sometimes intense cross-cultural issues that affect Asian Americans at an unusually early age. What follows is a thoughtful and controlled presentation exploring the intersection of body image with evolving standards of Asian beauty.
