Asian Medical Tourism and Cosmetic Plastic Surgery
"Medical tourism" is a term used to promote traveling to other countries for health care. Since cosmetic surgery is not covered by medical insurance, the main reason for most such trips is to save money.
A second reason can be to seek specialized services that are not available or as well-developed in the local country.
Most practitioners in East and Southeast Asia are receptive to inquiries from foreign patients but not all are equally well-prepared to facilitate the process.
