Medical Services in South Korea
As South Korea evolved into an information technology center managed by highly skilled labor, so did its hospitals.
Today, its medical facilities feature the same state-of-art technology it exports around the world. That is, as long as one stays in Seoul.

Healthcare services in South Korea show serious inconsistencies.
Gangnam-gu in Seoul has over 2,300 medical specialists, compared with only three specialists in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province, a 38-fold difference in the number of doctors per capita between the two regions.
One recent survey showed no emergency doctors available in over 100 of South Korea's 248 regions, meaning that many patients with serious health problems do not have access to quick medical care in much of the country.
For foreign visitors planning a sightseeing vacation during recovery after plastic surgery, this may come as a surprise. A trip outside of the big city and into the unspoiled beauty of the South Korean peninsula may not be the best idea.
