Among the most popular of all Asian beauty tricks to make the eye look bigger involved the use of eyelid tape to create or raise a low eyelid crease and help to lessen imbalances between the two side. Most tape comes either pre-cut or, more economically, on a roll.
Mastering the application of eyelid tape requires a great deal of practice. It can feel a bit uncomfortable and may sometimes appear too obvious without makeup on to help hide it.
For sensitive skin, hypoallergenic and more permeable brands of tape may be more comfortable. Smoother tapes also allows eye cosmetics to better stay in place over their surface.
• Eyelid Glue
Eyelid glue or putty costs a little more but is slightly easier than tape to use especially in those without any significant natural crease to start with.
After applying the adhesive over the lid, a small plastic prong pushes the skin into place during drying.
While the glue may not be as durable as on that ontape, it is more easily removed from the eyelids withonly water.
