Asian Mongolian eyelid slant reduction surgery is designed to lessen the upward excursion of the lids as they extend across the eye towards the outer corner.
The procedure is performed from an incision made through the back lining of the eyelid and usually accompanied by Asian lateral canthoplasty.
Slant reduction is seldom performed unless the angle is extreme. The procedure is technically advanced and results may not be fully symmetrical.
