Before and After Easternization > Ethnic Facial Plastic Surgery, circa year 2020
It began in 2011 in Southern California. Patients of Western descent began asking their plastic surgeons to alter their facial features in ways seldom requested previously, not simply to make them look more "Asian" but rather more "beautiful."
None of the surgeons there had a clue about how to do this, but most were still willing to try. By year 2020 and after plenty of trial and error, the procedure known as "Easternization" (also called "Asianization") became the gold standard for ethnic plastic surgery on patients of European descent.
The operation's heyday was surprisingly brief. By 2030, the axis of the beauty world shifted yet again, this time to India, and the rage became "Southernization." Patients from both East and West began flocking into Bangalore.
